AI-Based Detection of Risky Behaviors

In-vehicle cameras provide AI-powered monitoring of driving behavior and detect risky incidents in accordance with traffic laws: failure to maintain a safe following distance, speeding, lane departure, and head-on collisions.

Three service levels, one onboard camera

Sinari Telematics DashCam adapts to your fleet with three levels of analysis and criteria tailored to each profile, all in a single camera unit designed to meet every need.

Standard

Accelerometer alerts, on-demand video playback, local storage.

Pro

Detection via onboard AI: stop signs, speed detection, safe following distance, lane changes.

Native integration between the in-vehicle camera and Sinari Time Management

Alerts and videos captured by the onboard camera are directly integrated into the Sinari Telematics and Sinari Time Management solutions. This allows the operator to view detected events and access the associated videos through the tools they already use on a daily basis for monitoring their operations and managing their workforce.

Once transmitted, these alerts can be utilized in STM at several levels:

Users are notified in real time of new alarms from the onboard camera and can choose which types of alarms to monitor (feature currently being rolled out).

List of alerts by driver and by vehicle, with access to details for each recorded video (photo, video) and the ability to export data for statistical purposes.

With direct access to related photos and videos.

The alarms are placed along the vehicle's route and repositioned on the daily timeline.
From the Repository, the customer configures the types of alarms they want to manage in STM (feature currently being rolled out).

FAQ: In-Car Camera

Rear-facing dashcam

A dashcam is a device installed in a commercial vehicle (truck, utility vehicle, or heavy-duty vehicle) that continuously films and records the road and, optionally, the interior of the cab. When combined with artificial intelligence algorithms, the in-vehicle camera automatically detects high-risk situations (speeding, failure to maintain a safe following distance, lane departure, head-on collisions) and sends an alert along with a video clip to the operations center. It complements the GPS and tachograph data already collected by the onboard computer system to provide a comprehensive view of fleet operations in the transportation and logistics sectors.

Among the key features of this product, the Sinari Telematics DashCam continuously records a wide-angle (110°) front view in high definition. As an optional feature, it can also capture footage of the interior of the cab and blind spots. Each detected anomaly automatically generates a short, contextualized video clip, which can be viewed on demand from the back office or directly from Sinari Time Management.

For transportation fleets, the in-vehicle camera provides objective video evidence that facilitates incident analysis, driver training, and the reduction of disputes in the event of an accident. Combined with AI-powered detection of risky behaviors, it also helps prevent accidents and sustainably improve the fleet’s road safety, while fostering an objective dialogue with drivers. It also serves as a decision-making tool that clarifies everyone’s responsibilities and helps reduce risks.

Sinari Telematics DashCam connects natively to the FMS, which simplifies installation and enables rapid deployment across the entire fleet. The data is directly integrated into Sinari Time Management: generated alerts are automatically reported and can be analyzed centrally across several modules (the Messaging and Alerts widget, event history by driver and by vehicle, search by alarm type, and the location of alarms on the route and the daily timeline, providing a constantly updated view of each vehicle’s activity).
